Spiky Petulance

I feel like I look like a surly awkward petulant teen in these pics. Maybe it all lies in the power of dem spikes there. Mmmmm, spikes....Apologies for the image quality, click on them for bigger res :)

BIBA-108

The weekend was spent holed up with my hubby and daughter. I ate way too many cream cheese & strawberry jam filled bagels and tried, in vain, to stay away from the Raphael Young e-store all because I cannot make a decision between BLUE or BLACK...Which would you choose?

I did as much homework for school as my attention span could endure (give the girl a cookie) and spent an age collating the entries so far for the Give-Away. Needless to say, spreadsheet is now my new best friend. Your name is down, right?!

I posted phone images of this outfit on Twitter a couple of weeks ago and had a couple of requests for 'proper' pics which I finally saw to. Here I am wearing Zara Pants / Zara blazer / Appeali top / Storets shoes.

I will finish by saying that my heart goes out to all in Japan and I hope the country begins to find its feet soon after such a horrific disaster. To my readers that reside or have family and friends out there, my thought and prayers to you Xx

Banished...

...my clothes that is! Nope, I have not signed up to any challenge but with our imminent temporary move from a 4 bedroom house (with two walk in wardrobes) to a 2 bedroom compact house, my husband insists that I put 2/3 of my clothing in storage. You can just imagine the shock my tweets reflected immediately after this but I am glad to say that phase has passed and now that I can think straight (seriously my reaction was that of an erratic woman) I can see that it must be done. This does not mean that it makes the pill easier to swallow but I now have to get practical. What to retain and what to store. How can he not understand my need to have ALL my shoes around me at ALL times! My positive spin on this is that I am going to embrace it as a de-cluttering challenge but still where to start...

Please leave nice words and help me get my head around this! Have you ever had to make such a sacrifice compromise?

High Jinks

Something for the weekend you may be thinking and you would be right there. I am in no fit state to be updating this but try I will. Had a gathering at ours yesterday and epic does not quite cover it. Needless to say I am still suffering for/from it. The only wonder is that we have managed to restore order in our house so easily and when I say 'we' rest assured that my lazy self is referring to my hubby's sole effort all the way.

Note to self: must get better at tidying up....

Bright sparks

Lots of pics but so little words...I have to say something sooner or later so I guess I better get used to letting words pour out!

We popped up to Northumberland last weekend. Stayed in an amazing lodge at Slaley Hall that was as quiet as still waters, made a wonderful backdrop to showcase my new boots.

I had to keep reminding myself as I stood on that ledge that I am not a huge fan of heights but anything for good shot (the amazing photographer is my wonderful hubby, he takes most of the pics you see/shall see).

I now have Doctor Martens in 3 different colours and already have my eye on green patent as well. I imagine the obsessive in me will not stop collecting them anytime soon.
